Mediation is a process that supports people in a workplace 'dispute' to find a resolution to the problem. Mediation is voluntary and requires a level of commitment from all parties involved; crucially for mediation to work the parties must be willing and ready to address the problem. Mediation aims to get the parties to identify the main issues of importance to them. It provides a forum for a constructive and safe exchange of information. Each party has the opportunity to express how the dispute has arisen, how it has affected them and respond to the other party's concerns. Mediation is confidential and actions agreed will not be disclosed unless the parties agree. I am a trained mediator and work with individuals to reach sensible and lasting solutions to seemingly intractable problems.
Sometimes investigations into tricky disciplinary matters, grievances or harassment and bullying are needed. It is not always practical for investigations to be carried out in-house. You might need an outside perspective, or you may simply not have the time. Using my extensive experience I will carry out an independent investigation, providing you with a full report, including recommendations on how to proceed. I will also support you at a subsequent hearing, if required.
